Press registration: The Wiadomości PRO portal is a periodical within the meaning of Art. 7(2)(2) of the Act of 26 January 1984 — Press Law (Journal of Laws 1984 No. 5 item 24, as amended) and is/will be registered with the Regional Court in Wrocław (competent for the publisher's seat) pursuant to Art. 20 of that Act.

2. Terms of Service for Electronic Services

These Terms set out the rules for the provision by DANDA Sp. z o.o. of services by electronic means within the meaning of the Act of 18 July 2002 on the provision of services by electronic means (Journal of Laws 2020 item 344, consolidated text).

§ 1. Definitions

§ 2. Scope of services

The Service Provider provides the following electronic services:

  • Access to editorial content — free browsing of articles, video and multimedia materials
  • User Account — registration, profile management, saving preferences
  • Comments — the ability to add comments to articles (for logged-in users)
  • Newsletter — subscription to an e-mail news cycle
  • Push notifications — web notifications about new publications
  • Premium Subscription — access to premium content (if enabled)
  • Language versions — content in Polish, English, Russian and Ukrainian

§ 3. Technical requirements

To use the portal you need:

  • A device with Internet access
  • A web browser supporting HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari — current versions)
  • An active e-mail address (for account registration and newsletter)
  • Cookie support (for the proper operation of the website)

§ 4. Prohibition of providing unlawful content

The User is obliged to use the portal in accordance with applicable law, social norms and the principles of community life. It is prohibited to provide content of an unlawful nature, in particular:
  • content infringing copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights
  • defamatory, offensive, vulgar, discriminatory or hate-inciting content
  • content infringing the personal rights of third parties
  • disinformation, fake news, misleading content
  • content promoting violence, terrorism, paedophilia or other prohibited acts
  • spam, unsolicited advertising, commercial content without consent
  • malicious software, viruses, harmful code

§ 5. Rules for concluding and terminating the agreement

Conclusion of the agreement for the provision of electronic services takes place upon:

  • for free services (content browsing, push) — upon entering the website or saving a subscription
  • for services requiring an account — upon registration and e-mail confirmation
  • for a subscription — upon payment and confirmation by the payment system

Termination of the agreement takes place by:

  • deleting the account by the User in the profile settings
  • sending a request to: redakcja@wiadomosci.pro
  • for the newsletter — clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of every message
  • for push notifications — revoking consent in the browser settings

§ 6. Liability of the Service Provider

The Service Provider will make every effort to keep the portal running without interruption. The Service Provider is not liable for:

  • interruptions caused by force majeure or external supplier failures
  • content and comments posted by Users — in accordance with Art. 14 of the Act on Electronic Services
  • third-party content linked to within articles
  • temporary unavailability of the service (technical works — max. 4h/day, announced in advance)

3. User Accounts

§ 7. Registration

  • Registration is voluntary and free of charge
  • The User provides: e-mail address, password, optionally a name/nickname
  • Registration requires e-mail confirmation (activation link)
  • One User may hold only one account
  • Accounts created on behalf of others without their consent are not allowed

§ 8. Account holder's obligations

  • Protection of login data — the password should not be shared with third parties
  • Immediate notification of the editorial office in case of suspected breach: redakcja@wiadomosci.pro
  • Providing true data upon registration
  • Compliance with these Terms

§ 9. Account deletion

The User may delete their account at any time. Account deletion results in:

  • irreversible deletion of profile data within 30 days
  • anonymisation or deletion of comments (at the editorial office's discretion)
  • termination of active subscriptions (without refund for the current period)
The Service Provider reserves the right to suspend or delete the account of a User who violates the Terms, following a prior warning.

4. Comments

§ 10. Commenting rules

  • Comments may be added by logged-in Users
  • Comment content must comply with § 4 (prohibition of unlawful content)
  • Comments must be relevant to the article they are attached to
  • Prohibited: hate speech, defamation, threats, verbal aggression
  • Prohibited: spam, advertising, links to dangerous websites
  • Prohibited: impersonating other people or institutions

§ 11. Comment moderation

The editorial office reserves the right to:

  • moderate comments before or after publication
  • delete comments violating the Terms without warning
  • block the ability to comment for offending Users
  • report unlawful content to law enforcement
Pursuant to Art. 14 of the Act on Electronic Services, the Service Provider is not liable for the content of comments posted by Users, provided that unlawful content is removed promptly after obtaining credible knowledge of its unlawful nature.

§ 12. Reporting violations

Any User may report a comment that violates the Terms by clicking the "Report" button or writing to: redakcja@wiadomosci.pro. The editorial office reviews reports within 24–48 hours.

5. Subscriptions, Payments and Right of Withdrawal

§ 13. Subscription plans

The Wiadomości PRO service makes all editorial materials (articles, video) available free of charge. It additionally offers paid plans that unlock premium features (widgets and personalised news digests):

Prices include VAT. The current price list is available at /cennik.html. The publisher reserves the right to change the price list with 14 days' notice; the change does not apply to periods already paid for.

§ 14. Payments and operator

  • The payment operator is Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (and affiliated entities). The available method is a payment card (recurring payment, automatic renewal), in PLN.
  • Wiadomości PRO does not store payment card data — it is processed solely by the payment operator in a manner compliant with the PCI-DSS standard.
  • The subscription is recurring and renews automatically each month, for the same period, until cancelled. The fee is charged in advance for each billing period.
  • A purchase confirmation is sent to the provided e-mail address. An invoice is issued on request — please send the request together with your details to redakcja@wiadomosci.pro within 3 months of purchase.
  • In the event of a failed recurring payment, access to premium features may be suspended until the amount due is settled.

§ 15. Cancelling a subscription

  • You can cancel your subscription at any time by sending a message to redakcja@wiadomosci.pro or using the link in the confirmation message.
  • Cancellation stops further automatic renewals. Access to premium features remains active until the end of the period already paid for.
  • Cancelling a subscription does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current, paid period (subject to § 16).

§ 16. Right of withdrawal and refunds (consumers)

Pursuant to the Act of 30 May 2014 on Consumer Rights, a consumer (and an entrepreneur with consumer rights) has the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of its conclusion, without giving any reason. A statement to that effect can be sent to redakcja@wiadomosci.pro or by post to the publisher's registered address.

Important — digital content: Premium features are a digital service/content delivered immediately. If the consumer expressly requests that performance begin before the 14-day period expires and acknowledges the loss of the right of withdrawal (we collect such consent during the purchase process), then the right of withdrawal expires upon commencement of performance (Art. 38(13) of the Act). If the consumer does not give such consent, the premium service begins after the 14-day period.

In the event of an effective withdrawal, the refund is made via the same payment channel within 14 days.

§ 17. Payment complaints

Complaints regarding payments and access to premium features are handled in the manner described in section 6. Complaints — within 14 days of the report. You are also entitled to use out-of-court dispute resolution methods (ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).

6. Complaints

§ 17. How to file a complaint

Complaints regarding the operation of the portal, electronic services or the subscription can be filed:

  • By post: DANDA Sp. z o.o., Gen. Józefa Bema 15, 50-240 Wrocław (marked: COMPLAINT)

§ 18. Content of a complaint

A complaint should contain:

  • the User's first and last name or name
  • the e-mail address assigned to the account
  • a description of the problem or claim
  • the expected manner of resolution
  • the date of the event (if applicable)

§ 19. Resolution deadline

  • Complaints are reviewed within 14 business days of receipt
  • In matters requiring additional clarification — within 30 days, with notice of the extension
  • The reply is sent to the User's e-mail address
A User who is a consumer may use the EU online dispute resolution (ODR) platform available at: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

7. Content Moderation and Editorial Rules

§ 20. Editorial policy

Wiadomości PRO applies the standards of reliable journalism:

  • Source verification — every piece of information is verified by at least two independent sources
  • Corrections — errors are corrected promptly with a note about the change
  • Separation of advertising from editorial content — sponsored content is clearly marked
  • Right of reply — persons mentioned in an article have the opportunity to submit a comment

§ 21. Prohibition of hate and hate speech

The portal applies a zero-tolerance policy towards:

  • hate speech based on race, gender, orientation, religion, nationality, disability
  • threats and incitement to violence
  • defamation and content infringing personal rights
  • harassment and doxing (revealing people's private data)

Such content is removed immediately and, in justified cases, reported to the police or prosecutor's office.

§ 22. Copyright infringement (DMCA / PL copyright law)

Copyright infringement notices: redakcja@wiadomosci.pro. Each notice containing: the rights holder's details, a description of the protected work and the infringing material, and a statement of the right to act — is reviewed within 5 business days.

§ 23. Detailed comment rules

Comments are subject to the following detailed rules:

§ 24. User reporting procedure

Any User may report a violation of the Terms. A report can be filed:

  • Via the form on the website — by clicking the Report a violation button visible under each comment
  • By e-mail: redakcja@wiadomosci.pro — with the subject: REPORT + link to the content
  • Via the account: User panel → "My reports"

A report should contain:

  • the link or identifier of the reported content
  • the type of violation (e.g. hate, spam, defamation, copyright)
  • optionally: an additional description

§ 25. Moderator response procedure — SLA

The reporter receives confirmation of receipt by e-mail (if provided) and information about the decision taken within the indicated time.

§ 26. User blocking rules

The editorial office applies a three-stage blocking system:

  1. Warning — written notice of the violation; the content remains hidden pending verification
  2. Temporary block (7, 14 or 30 days) — no ability to comment; account active; e-mail notice stating the reason
  3. Permanent block — removal of the ability to comment and/or account access; e-mail notice; right to appeal within 14 days
Appeal against a moderation decision: A blocked User may file an appeal within 14 days of the notice date by writing to: redakcja@wiadomosci.pro with the subject: APPEAL. The appeal is reviewed by a senior moderator, independent of the person who made the original decision.

§ 27. Archive of moderation decisions

The editorial office keeps an internal register of moderation decisions containing:

  • the date and time of the report and decision
  • the ID of the reported content (without the reporter's personal data)
  • the type of violation and the decision taken
  • the moderator's identity (internally)

The archive is kept for 24 months and made available on request to law enforcement or courts. The User has the right to inspect decisions concerning their own content — request via: redakcja@wiadomosci.pro.

Transparency: Each quarter the editorial office publishes a general statistical summary of moderation (number of reports, type of violations, percentage of removed content) — without personal data.

7b. Report a Violation

The form below is used to report: violations of the Terms, hate speech, unlawful content, copyright infringements and legal requests (summons, court orders).

In the event of a threat to life or health — call the Police immediately: 112. Do not use this form in emergency situations.

Important for law enforcement: Requests to disclose User data require a formal prosecutor's or court order. The portal does not disclose data on the basis of informal inquiries. Response time for formal authority requests: 48 business hours.

8. Privacy Policy / GDPR

The controller of Users' personal data is DANDA Sp. z o.o., ul. Gen. Józefa Bema 15, 50-240 Wrocław, e-mail: redakcja@wiadomosci.pro. We process data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR).

Processors (data entrustment): to process subscription payments we use the operator Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland), which processes billing data and payment card data as a separate controller/processor in accordance with its own privacy policy. To send personalised digests (Max plan) and the newsletter we use a mail provider. Data is not sold to third parties.

§ 24. Legal bases for processing

  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract (account, subscription)
  • Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — consent (newsletter, marketing, non-essential cookies)
  • Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR — legal obligation (issuing invoices, archiving)
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest (security, analytics)

§ 25. Rights of the User

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — to view your data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification — to correct inaccurate data (Art. 16)
  • Right to erasure — the "right to be forgotten" (Art. 17)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20)
  • Right to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) (Art. 21)
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing)
  • Right to lodge a complaint with the President of the UODO (Stawki 2, Warsaw)

§ 27. Transfer of data to third parties

Data may be transferred only to trusted processors with which data processing entrustment agreements have been concluded (Art. 28 GDPR):

  • hosting and server provider (EU or with appropriate safeguards)
  • newsletter handling system
  • payment operator (Stripe/PayU — own privacy policies)
  • Google Analytics — for analytical data (with IP anonymisation)
Data is not transferred to countries outside the EEA without appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision).

9. Cookie Policy

The Wiadomości PRO portal uses cookies in accordance with Art. 173 of the Telecommunications Law and the GDPR.

§ 29. Managing cookies

The User may at any time:

  • change cookie settings via the banner shown on the first visit
  • manage cookies in the browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
  • install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Disabling essential cookies may prevent the use of some portal features (login, language preferences).

§ 30. Third-party service cookies

The portal embeds content from external services that may set their own cookies:

  • YouTube (Google LLC) — video player
  • Google Maps — exchange office map
  • rss2json.com — fetching YouTube RSS (without personal cookies)

The privacy policies of these services are available on their websites.

10. Newsletter

§ 31. Newsletter subscription terms

  • Newsletter subscription is voluntary and free of charge
  • It requires providing an active e-mail address and giving explicit consent
  • Subscription is confirmed by clicking the link in the verification e-mail (double opt-in)
  • Newsletter data is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes

§ 32. Unsubscribing from the newsletter

  • At any time, by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in the footer of every message
  • By sending an e-mail to: redakcja@wiadomosci.pro
  • Unsubscription is effective immediately, at the latest within 24 hours
Consent separate from marketing: Consent to the newsletter does not include consent to third-party marketing. If remarketing activities are launched, separate, explicit consent is required.

11. Artificial Intelligence Disclosure

§ 33. Multilingualism — AI translations

The Wiadomości PRO portal is available in four languages: PL EN RU UK.

Translations into English, Russian and Ukrainian are generated by artificial intelligence (AI) systems. The editorial office will make every effort to ensure the highest quality translations, however:

  • Wiadomości PRO is not liable for errors and inaccuracies in content translated by AI
  • The legally binding and editorially superior version is always the Polish version
  • In the event of linguistic discrepancies, the Polish text prevails

§ 34. Video materials — AI dubbing

Some video materials published on the portal have voice dubbing generated by AI speech synthesis systems in Polish, English, Russian and Ukrainian.

  • AI dubbing is clearly marked on the video material
  • The Service Provider is not liable for the quality of the voice synthesis or any inaccuracies in the dubbing
  • The substantive content of the materials comes from the portal's journalists and editors

§ 35. AI transparency

Wiadomości PRO undertakes to label content generated or assisted by AI in accordance with the requirements of the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (EU AI Act, 2024/1689).

Any changes to the Terms will be announced at least 14 days in advance on the portal's home page. Continued use of the portal after this period means acceptance of the new terms.
