This powerful SUV, priced at 599,000 PLN, is causing quite a stir, especially in the context of marketing comparisons to brands like Rolls-Royce or Bentley. As the author of the video notes, it was in the Chinese market that such bold comparisons were born, where this model was dubbed the "Chinese Rolls-Royce."
Technically, the Zeekr 9X is an impressive construction. The vehicle is equipped with a large 70 kWh battery, which translates to a real-world range of about 300 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. The car is based on a 900-volt architecture, which is intended to enable fast charging. The plug-in hybrid powertrain generates an impressive 890 horsepower, and in the Hyper version, this value increases to 1400 HP. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 4.2 seconds.
Despite these parameters, the editorial team remains skeptical about the Chinese manufacturer's luxury aspirations. Although the Zeekr 9X is an extremely well-equipped car, featuring dual-chamber air suspension and advanced driver assistance systems, it lacks the unique "spirit" and attention to detail that define cars like a Rolls-Royce. The interior, while finished in leather, does not offer the same level of craftsmanship as ultra-premium class vehicles.
The SUV's practicality was checked in a trunk test, which offers limited space when the third-row seats are unfolded. An interesting solution, however, is the ability to electrically fold the seats, which allows for interior reconfiguration. It is worth noting that many functions in the vehicle have been moved to be operated from the central touchscreen, which for some drivers may be less intuitive than traditional buttons.
From the perspective of a Polish buyer, the key question remains about service and after-sales support. The car is available through private import, which involves certain challenges regarding official technical support. However, the manufacturer provides full documentation enabling the car's registration, which confirms its road legality.
In summary, the Zeekr 9X is an interesting proposition for those looking for a modern, high-power electric SUV, but calling it a direct competitor to a Rolls-Royce is a major exaggeration. It is a proposition for technology enthusiasts who want to stand out on the road, but one should not expect the level of luxury that is the domain of British limousines.
