Accelerating time: a social phenomenon or technical manipulation?

The feeling that days are several hours shorter has become a topic of numerous online discussions. The author of a video on the BaldTV channel notes that this impression does not apply to individuals, but to a massive group of people worldwide. Many internet users suggest that this sensation has intensified drastically in recent years.

One of the most intriguing theories links this phenomenon to the activity of the CERN center. Proponents of this hypothesis claim that the activation of the Large Hadron Collider in 2012 could have led to the release of energy that irreversibly affected our spacetime. As a result, we may have ended up in a dimension where time flows faster. Hugh Everett's many-worlds interpretation is often cited here, suggesting that particle collisions create information bridges that allow for jumping between different timelines.

Another, darker concept refers to the secret "Looking Glass" project. This story, popular on social media since the early 2000s, speaks of a US military program that allegedly used plasma to create a "gravitational lens." Through it, elites supposedly peered into the future and manipulated timelines to avoid a catastrophic convergence of events predicted for around 2012. Proponents of these theories claim that constant time manipulation destabilizes our reality, which manifests precisely as the feeling that days are "slipping through our fingers."

A completely different point of view is presented by religious circles, which see the acceleration of time as the fulfillment of prophetic visions. They refer to the Gospel of Matthew, which states that if time were not shortened, no one would survive. According to these interpretations, a higher power is intentionally accelerating the course of events to shorten the difficult period preceding the apocalypse.

The editorial team notes that while these theories sound like a science-fiction movie script, they reflect a deep need to find answers to the actual discomfort felt by modern society. However, there is a lack of hard scientific evidence linking physical experiments to the subjective feeling of acceleration. Is it, therefore, a real anomaly, or merely the result of living in a world where information flows too fast for our brains to process?
